Management Team
Paul contributes expertise in cutting-edge networking technologies, including DOCSIS, DVB, wireless, and VoIP.
Prior positions include VP of Multimedia Platforms for Pacific Broadband Communications (acquired by Juniper) and
VP of Engineering for Com21, a cable broadband technology provider. In addition, he played key R&D roles at
Lucent, Stratacom, NEC, and Digital Link. Mr. Gordon holds several patents in the area of ATM data transport over
cable, and he received a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering from the University of Liverpool, UK.
Randy Frei
Chief Technical Officer
Randy has extensive experience in Internet Protocols and network communications architectures, specializing in
broadband access. He is responsible for SkyPilot's mesh architecture, communications protocol, and standards
participation including 802.11 (Wi-Fi) and 802.16 (WiMAX). Prior to SkyPilot, Randy held positions as Chief
Technology Officer at UltraDevices and Chief Systems Architect at Com21 where he was responsible for overall system
architecture and next generation product design. He was also a Member of the Technical Staff at ITT
Aerospace/Communications Division, responsible for battlefield dynamic wireless mesh systems.
Randy holds Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Brian Jenkins
Vice President, Marketing
Brian has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and selling communication networking products.
Brian has held various product management, product marketing, and sales positions with AirFlow Networks,
Turnstone Systems, Ascend Communications, and Whitetree. He holds BS degrees in electrical engineering and
computer science from Duke University and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
Allen Adolph
Vice President, Operations
Allen Adolph is responsible for manufacturing and the management of SkyPilot's global supply chain.
He has over 20 years of experience managing contract/ODM manufacturing relationships, materials,
and global distribution activities. Prior to joining SkyPilot, Allen held senior level management positions at
Aperto Networks, Atoga Metro Solutions Division of ARRIS, both leading suppliers of broadband networking system
products. He previously held positions at several networking start-ups companies (Adaptive, Whitetree, Atmosphere),
and has held senior management positions at NET and Dataproducts Corporation. Mr. Adolph holds a BS degree in
business administration - operations research from California State University Northridge and retains a CPIM
certification from APICS.
